We have now introduced cosmetic enhancements into the salon, and are proud to present Dr Iain Ashworth from Barrowford. Dr Ashworth will be our in-house expert and carry out these procedures and a consultative basis.
We can now offer various treatments from wrinkle fillers to thread vein removal and acne treatment.
Dr Ashworth MB.CHB, graduated from Sheffield medical school in 1987, and has been qualified as a GP since 1992. In 2003 he created Mircovein – a company with emphasis on cosmetic enhancements; which was then renamed Beautonix ltd. He trained under Dr David Eccleston of Allergen (the producers of Botox) in the use of Botox for medical requirements and advanced cosmetic techniques. Dr Ashworth is fully indemnified with the medical protections society for all cosmetic treatments offered.
Allergen advise that clients requesting enhancements should have a consultation with a fully qualified doctor, as the are the only professionals who are legally aloud to administer Botox etc. We understand that at the moment there are conflicts of interest regarding nurses and under qualified peoples offering Botox and we have done our best to find the most qualified highly regarded professional.
Below are a list of his prices and on the following page we have included a brief explanation of each treatment.
Below you will find a brief explanation of each cosmetic enhancement, their benefits and prices. However, Dr. Ashworth will discuss with you, the most suitable procedure for your concerns, in your consultation.
For all appointments there will be a non- refundable booking fee of £25
Neurotoxins (Botox)
This is the most well known way to soften expression lines and wrinkles, and used on areas such as forehead lines, crows feet, and frown lines.
Neurotoxins block the signals from the nerves to the muscles, causing the muscle to relax. This allows the skin over the muscle to “flatten”. The procedure only takes a few minutes and no anaesthetic is required. The neurotoxin is injected with a small needle, into the muscle with only minor discomfort. It can take a week to see the full effect, and will last 4 - 6 months.

Juvaderm is injected into the thick layer of your skin for correction of moderate to severe wrinkles. The effect is instant and usually only need one treatment to achieve optimum results. The effect can last up to one year.
Tiosyal is also available-this is a more modern polymer of Hyaluronic acid.
